We took a trip to Crystal Palace in London for a pre-national shakedown, to blow some winter cobwebs away and meet the great group of F1 racers that have been picking up the class over the last year
There was a total of 15 F1 drivers, a very good showing for a non-national event!
This weekend we also had the loaner car out for Andy, the BRCA 2WD events manager, to try his hand at the class - and the results speak for themselves, straight into the A and a cracking race in leg 1 with some other cars.
As for my day, as always the car felt very good, a few very minor tweaks to our base setup and the car was handling well and had good speed, setting the TQ pace to qualify on pole and taking the win in all 3 final legs, couldn’t be happier with my first outdoor race since the end of last year’s national season
